You can also find Effingham Health System out in the community. Our New Open MRI Center and Out-Patient Imaging Center are both located in nearby Rincon, offering you and your provider advanced imaging technology and fast reporting of results. Our dedicated and growing team of primary care providers can be found in Springfield, Rincon and now, Port Wentworth.
Something else you may not know about Effingham Health System is that we are a designated Critical Access Hospital (CAH). There are over 1200 CAHs in the U.S. and 34 here in Georgia. CAHs are considered necessary community hospitals through a special program derived by the Federal Government. The life-saving care we provide through our Emergency Department is essential to the growth of our community. Effingham Health System is also accredited by the Joint Commission, the organization that accredits and certifies more than 17,000 health care organizations and programs. The Joint Commission is widely recognized as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization's commitment to meeting the highest of performance standards.
