This time of year especially, we focus on giving thanks.  At Effingham Health System, we have much to be thankful for.

With only a few more page turns left on the 2012 calendar, we look back and reflect on all that we have accomplished as a team this year.   From prestigious awards and accreditations to achieving a milestone in becoming a designated Level IV Trauma Center, from exceeding national standards for safety, and launching new programs and services, it’s an understatement when I say that the Effingham Health System family has been working hard to carry out our mission to provide the very best for our community.

The transition into our new facility, now nearly one year ago, continues to inspire further innovation and this innovation is providing us with many new opportunities to expand our reach and make a larger impact on all those whom we serve here in Effingham County and around our region.

I want to give a special thank you to all on our staff in every department. To our volunteers, members of our clinical care teams and medical technicians, to our therapists, surgeons, nurses, ENTs, IT and patient care service representatives, to our dedicated Hospital Authority and to all those who work in the field and behind the scenes, our community is a better place because you have chosen to serve and care here.

I wish you a safe and happy holiday season and look forward to an innovative New Year together.
