Convenient Lab
Effingham Health System’s Lab is convenient for blood work, as we offer extended hours—drawing blood for multiple labs—at Effingham Hospital in Springfield, GA.
We Service Two Labs
We draw blood for testing by two labs to accommodate insurance requirements: Effingham Health System and LabCorp, and Quest. Please check your insurance plan to confirm which labs are covered prior to your visit.
Walk-ins Welcome
During regular daytime hours, labs are available for walk-ins and patients do not have to call ahead for routine labs.
If lab work needs to be completed while you are fasting, the physician should notify you prior to giving you the external lab order, so that you can avoid food prior to coming in. If you arrive for fasting labs and you have not been fasting, you will be asked to return for blood work once you have been fasting that proper length of time.
When to Make an Appointment
While our lab offers extended hours, when service is required outside of daytime hours, patients should call ahead to confirm availability.
Therapeutic phlebotomies and glucose tolerance tests must be scheduled in advance, due to the length of time for these procedures.
