Transforming Care for Our Patients

For residents of Effingham and surrounding communities who are dealing with cancer, care close to home makes it easier for patients—and their families—to focus on healing. Our patients receive personalized care, save hours of time in transit, and benefit from a professional support system within our own community.

Chemotherapy Treatment

The Cancer Care Center is licensed to administer chemotherapy. We have created a comfortable place with a caring, professional team that is focused on you. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, we welcome you to call us to arrange a tour.

Receiving Treatment

If you are diagnosed with cancer, your primary care physician or specialist will explain treatment options, which may include surgery, radiation, and/or medical oncology (including chemotherapy). Once your physician suggests medical oncology or chemotherapy, you may request to be referred to the Cancer Care Center at Effingham Health System.

Any patient requiring medical oncology care and chemotherapy may request to be referred to the Cancer Care Center at Effingham Health System.

Financial Counseling and Support

Understanding insurance benefits can be overwhelming while you are dealing with cancer treatment, so we have a counselor on staff to work with you. We can also connect you with community organizations that provide support for cancer patients—both financially and emotionally.

Location and Easy Access

The Cancer Care Center is located inside Effingham Hospital at 459 Hwy. 119 South, Springfield, GA

The Center has a dedicated entrance, easily accessible from West First Street. Patients may be dropped off under the covered awning. Adjacent parking is available for patients and family members.
